Add audio sources to only
one com headset

The Com Headset Breakout Box (CHBB) turns a com headset into an XLR microphone signal & a 1/4" headphone plug, which plug into a small microphone mixer. A Beltpack Breakout Box (BBB) plugs into a com beltpack & turns it into XLR audio input & output, which plug into an XLR microphone input & an aux send on the same mixer.

Com audio flows through the BBB into the XLR input on the mixer & into the headphone jack on the mixer, which flows through the CHBB into the com headset. With the mixer you can add whatever audio sources you wish, such as stage talkback mics, ambient mics, etc. Your options are limited only by the size of this mixer.

The com headset mic flows through the CHBB into a mixer microphone input, and out to an aux send, through the BBB & into the beltpack (with talk button locked on).

Use of a broadcast headset such as the BPHS1 (which seems to be unavailable new at the moment) eliminates the need for the CHBB.

photo of Lonnie Bedell of AVlifesavers.com My name is Lonnie Bedell, and I'm the guy behind AVLifesavers. Unlike big companies, I've been doing actual live sound work since 1995, and live recordings since 1985. [ View my Linked-In Profile ]
I started AVLifesavers to solve real world audio problems that weren't being addressed by larger manufacturers. By listening to users who experience these problems first hand, and combining it with my own 30+ years of hands-on audio experience, I can come up with solutions to problems the big companies don't even know exist.

All products are assembled right here in the USA. Living Wages to American workers is and will always be part of the fabric here, despite the temptations.
