Switch LD com from headset
to in ears & hear all the things you've been missing out on!

Way #1
The Combo intercom audio interface ($165) converts the 3 pin party line into regular audio, which feeds to foh to make your audio mix, which is ran back to your in ear beltpack or as a headphone level signal.

You would use a beltpack & headset for the microphone only.

This only works for Clear-com(tm) intercom systems

You can also use the Output only intercom interface ($135) if you don't want the level controls on the output.

Way #2
The beltpack breakout box [mic level input version] ($155) serves as an interface point with comms.

1) The audio output plugs into a small mixer for you to use. Plug your in ears into the headphone out.

2) Plug a dynamic microphone (regular mic such as an SM58 or dynamic headset mic) into the mic level input on beltpack breakout box.

Using your own mixer gives you control over your mix locally, and provides a headphone amp. I use a mackie 402 here in the shop for testing, and they go for about $100 new.

FOH can give you what you want to hear in addition to com, or you could plug in something you want directly. You're only limited by the size of the mixer.

This works for any com that uses the standard 4 pin headset out. Many have used it with the "R" company's intercom with an xlr gender reverser.
